These cookies are delicious, super easy, and look great on a cookie platter. They also absolutely live up to their name. The butter and powdered sugar make for a tender cookie that feels like it melts on your tongue. Forget catching snowflakes; I’ll take one of these cookies instead.
Melt-in-your-Mouth Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies
2 sticks butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more for dipping
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375° F.
In a bowl, mix together butter and powdered sugar until well combined. Add the salt, flour, and vanilla and mix until combined. Finally, add the chocolate chips and mix until combined.
With a spoon or small cookie scoop, scoop out the dough and form balls about 1 to 1-1/2 inches. Bake at 375 for 7-10 minute or until baked through and slightly golden.
Let the cookies cool slightly until they are easy to handle. Pour powdered sugar in a shallow dish and coat the cookies in powdered sugar. If they are too hot, the sugar will just melt, so let them cool until just warm.
